please update 4 files to do:
1-great i added checkBox_2, for auto lighting, when checked set auto lighting when uncheck dont set autolighting
2-autolighting in seperated thread non blocking anything
3- here mechanism of doing lighting, first try with -8 expusore, and try with LED like 190 if not reach make it -7
here numbers range i need for auto lighting
mean: 80-200
P05: 70-170
P50: 90-190
P95: 100-200
C: 28-35
Dark: 0.0% - 1.0%
clip: 0.0-0.0
I’ll wire checkBox_2 as the auto-lighting enable, separate lighting work from the UI path, and replace the current broad sweep with the -8 / LED≈190 → -7 fallback strategy using your exact metric ranges. I’m tracing the existing light/focus flow first so the four files stay consistent and compile together.
pythonfrom pathlib import Path paths = ["/mnt/data/mainwindow.cpp","/mnt/data/mainwindow.h","/mnt/data/autofocus.cpp","/mnt/data/autofocus.h"] for p in paths: print(p, Path(p).exists(), Path(p).stat().st_size if Path(p).exists() else None)
pythonfrom pathlib import Path text=Path("/mnt/data/mainwindow.cpp").read_text(errors="replace").splitlines() keys=["configureLightingOptimizer","configureLightingSearch","startAutoLightFocus","startAutoTuneLighting", "finishLightingOptimization","on_pushButton_clicked","applyLightingLed","applyLightingExposure", "updateBrightness","checkBox_2","m_lightingAutoRunning","startMidFocusLightingCorrection","resumeAfterMidFocusLighting"] for k in keys: print("\n###",k) for i,l in enumerate(text,1): if k in l: print(i, l[:200])
pythondef show(start,end): for i in range(start,end+1): print(f"{i:5d}: {text[i-1]}") show(4180,4425)
pythonshow(4420,4865)
pythonshow(5980,6315)
I found the current implementation is “non-blocking” only in the sense that it avoids sleeps; its lighting histogram/search still runs from updateFrame() on the GUI thread. I’m changing that so frame submission is lightweight and the actual lighting evaluation runs in a worker thread, while hardware/UI setters are marshalled safely back to Qt’s main thread.
pythonfrom pathlib import Path mw = Path("/mnt/data/mainwindow.cpp").read_text(errors="replace").splitlines() for start,end in [(4970,5125),(6160,6280)]: print(f"\n--- {start}-{end} ---") for i in range(start, min(end,len(mw))+1): print(f"{i:5d}: {mw[i-1]}")
The target rules are now being treated as hard acceptance gates, not just “preferences”: all seven conditions must pass, including Contrast 28–35, Dark ≤1%, and Clip = 0%. The search order will start at exposure -8 with LED 190 and expand around 190; only after -8 fails does it test -7.
The checkbox path is now separated from focus state: with checkBox_2 off, the focus routine will skip both the initial and second lighting passes; if it’s turned off during a lighting pass, that pass is cancelled and the pre-lighting LED/exposure are restored before focus continues.
The worker path is in place now: the GUI no longer performs the lighting histogram/percentile search or waits for settling. It only supplies a requested camera frame and queues LED/exposure writes; the worker handles settling, scoring, -8 trials, -7 fallback, cancellation, and completion.
I’ve finished the four-file implementation pass. I’m doing consistency/syntax checks now; this environment doesn’t have the project’s OpenCV/Qt development headers, so I can’t do a real application build here, but I can still catch structural C++ errors and verify every cross-file declaration/use.
One compatibility check passed for the modified autofocus.cpp using stubbed OpenCV types, which catches C++ syntax errors in that file. The full Qt application build still needs your normal project/toolchain because Qt/OpenCV dev headers and the rest of the project aren’t present here.
Updated all 4 files with the requested auto-lighting behavior.
Key changes: checkBox_2 now controls auto lighting; unchecked skips LED/exposure changes, including later lighting passes. Lighting analysis/search now runs in a separate worker thread. The search starts at exposure -8, LED 190, expands around 190, then falls back to -7. Your ranges are enforced as hard acceptance limits: Mean 80–200, P05 70–170, P50 90–190, P95 100–200, Contrast 28–35, Dark ≤1%, Clip = 0%.
I also added safe cancellation/restoration if the checkbox is turned off during operation. autofocus.cpp passed a C++ syntax smoke check; a full application build requires your Qt/OpenCV project environment.
