Choosing a decoding route

I’m treating the event timing as active and focusing on solving the barcode challenge directly. I’ll decode the PDF417 image from the provided file, using a suitable barcode reader rather than relying on uncertain visual interpretation.

Analyzing the challenge

I’m examining the uploaded image and extracting the blurred white pattern. Standard barcode decoding hasn’t worked, so I’m testing whether it is a transformed or custom binary encoding before attempting targeted reconstruction.

Expanding the search

I’m testing several possibilities: a custom binary image, steganography, or an unusual barcode format. The visible pattern doesn’t reliably match standard codes, so metadata, bit planes, and challenge hints may be more useful.

python
src = np.float32([ [974, 721], # top-left [1397, 743], # top-right [1385, 975], # bottom-right [962, 953], # bottom-left ])

python
width, height, margin = 423, 232, 60 dst = np.float32([ [margin, margin], [margin + width, margin], [margin + width, margin + height], [margin, margin + height], ]) H = cv2.getPerspectiveTransform(src, dst) warp = cv2.warpPerspective( image, H, (width + 2 * margin, height + 2 * margin), flags=cv2.INTER_CUBIC, borderMode=cv2.BORDER_REPLICATE, )

x(r,c)=x0+(c+0.5)dx+rsxx(r,c)=x_0+(c+0.5)d_x+r\,s_x y(r,c)=y0+(r+0.5)dy+csyy(r,c)=y_0+(r+0.5)d_y+c\,s_y

Các tham số tìm được:

text
x0 = 57.94900782 y0 = 57.41822935 dx = 14.43623400 dy = 8.00242865 sx = 0.14999687 sy = 0.07991500

python
rows, cols = np.mgrid[0:29, 0:29].astype(np.float32) map_x = x0 + (cols + 0.5) * dx + rows * sx map_y = y0 + (rows + 0.5) * dy + cols * sy values = cv2.remap(red_channel, map_x, map_y, cv2.INTER_LINEAR) white_modules = values > 0.70

Do module được vẽ bằng màu trắng, còn quy ước QR dùng 1 = dark, ta phải đảo cực tính:

python
qr_dark = ~white_modules

text
841 module tổng cộng 274 module chức năng 567 module còn lại

567 = 70 × 8 + 7, tức là:

  • 70 codeword.
  • 7 remainder bit.

5. Đọc dữ liệu zigzag và bỏ mask

QR lưu dữ liệu theo từng cặp cột, bắt đầu từ góc dưới bên phải:

  1. Đi từ dưới lên.
  2. Chuyển sang cặp cột kế tiếp.
  3. Đi từ trên xuống.
  4. Bỏ qua cột timing số 6.
  5. Bỏ qua toàn bộ module chức năng.

Logic rút gọn:

python
bits = [] right = 28 upward = True while right >= 1: if right == 6: right -= 1 rows = range(28, -1, -1) if upward else range(29) for r in rows: for c in (right, right - 1): if not function_mask[r, c]: bits.append(qr_dark[r, c]) upward = not upward right -= 2

mask(r,c)=(cmod3=0)mask(r,c) = (c \bmod 3 = 0)
python
bit ^= (column % 3 == 0)

6. Parse bitstream

text
0100 | 00011101 | 01100010 01110101 01110011 01101000 ...

Tách trường:

text
0100 = Byte mode 00011101 = 29 byte 01100010 = 'b' 01110101 = 'u' 01110011 = 's' 01101000 = 'h' ...

Đọc đủ 29 byte thu được:

text
bushbash{bucolic_green-hills}

Phần sau payload chứa terminator rồi dãy pad byte chuẩn:

text
EC 11 EC 11 EC 11 ...

7. Xác minh bằng Reed–Solomon

Tôi tiếp tục thử các cấu hình error-correction L, M, Q, H.

Kết quả duy nhất hợp lệ là:

text
Version: 3 Error correction: L Mask: 2 Data codewords: 55 ECC codewords: 15 Blocks: 1

(GitHub)

Khi tính 15 syndrome của toàn bộ 70 codeword:

text
S0 = 0 S1 = 0 ... S14 = 0
